Archives For Pillow pets

Again, a great gift idea is to pair a game with something to play or snuggle with.

Pillow Pets: An excuse for more stuffed animals. Haha. Seriously, these things are cute and snuggly and it is hard to say no, we have enough.

They really are a cute idea. Apparently, my daughter isn’t the only one who thinks these are pretty great. Now, kids can snuggle up with their pets and visit the online world of pillow pets. The pets are “lost” in dreamland and need to be located and played with.

I was really glad my daughter got a chance to play this game. Often, as she has lots of older siblings, she ends up playing games beyond her ability level and gets frustrated. While I like that she is challenging herself, this is not the best way to  build confidence or just enjoy a game!

With Pillow Pets, she enjoyed herself and felt competent. There was no, “Mom, please help me on this level”, which was nice and relaxing for me.

From a child’s point of view:

In the game, the child has a room and can fill his/her room with the rescued pillow pets, who are super friendly. There are no real hazards in this game, so the child can visit several areas and explore lands without worries.

They can customize the pets and unlock accessories, and earn rewards as they seek the 16 pillow pets in the fantasy Woods, Rainbow Valley and Slumberland Castle.

Features:

  • Exploration: Explore the Dreamlands of the Pillow Pets, such as Rainbow Valley, the Forest, the Palace.
  • Goal: Find and Collect 16 Pillow Pets you can name and customize with all kinds of accessories.
  • Collect rewards and bonuses all along the way, without hazards.

The best age range for this game: I would say about 4-8, young players with little to some gaming experience.

The graphics are bright and cheery:

Pillow Pets™ game for Nintendo DS is rated “E” for Everyone by the ESRB and retails for around $19.99. Currently $16  Pillow Pets on Amazon.com.

She likes the game so much, now she wants a Pillow Pet:)

Have you heard about Pillow Pets? These are snuggly little pillow creatures such as unicorns and turtles, Ladybugs and dinosaurs. Kids seem to love them. My child included.

And…wait for it…

As of October 25, kids can take playing with their pillow pets into a whole other dimension, while playing Pillow Pets™ game for Nintendo DS. My opinion? This is a safe, pleasant little Nintendo DS game for young children.
