Monster Truck Adventures Series for kids

Monster Truck Adventures is a new animated series for children that entertains and teaches Biblical life lessons!

I originally wanted to review this with my almost 3 year old nephew. When the DVD arrived, it looked so cute. Yet, I was a bit thoughtful about the quality. Recently, I have seen some “biblical” videos that were painful to sit through. I think as parents we need to be careful that we really judge the content of what our children watch.

So, I asked Em if she’d watch this one with me first. I wanted to see if it was any good before sending to my sister and her little guy.

Em and I had planned to watch one episode, yet we ended up having a Meteor and Friends marathon that day!

I can honestly say that this series is well written and wonderfully illustrated. The monster truck characters are adorable and each has a vibrant personality. They really work together well. Also, the biblical themes were evident and clearly stated, yet they didn’t “thump you over the head or anything.” This series uses biblical elements and good writing.

I think the age range for these is easily, say 2 to 10. Shoot, I liked them.

You may assume this series is for boys because of the monster trucks, but my little girl enjoyed the stories tremendously. The writers do include “Ponytail” this girl monster truck is:

“Sweet and spunky, Ponytail – or just “Pony” for short – is a top competitor in her own right. She’s the best jumper in the group and is quick to befriend someone new.”

Join Meteor and his friends as they roar over jumps and splash through gunk in everyday adventures at school and all over their hometown of Crushington Park. Each episode teaches a scripture-based lesson in responsibility, obedience, humility, forgiveness and much more.
