Our Curriculum for 2011-2012

11th Grade Curriculum, Nick:

Bible: Deeper Roots, Discovering Christlike Habits

History: Mystery of History 2 Illuminations by Bright Ideas Press

Geography: A mix of Illuminations Geography and A Childs Geography: Explore His Earth

English: Easy Grammar Plus Workbook, Institute for Excellence in Writing, Student Writing Intensive,  changed to Excellence in Literature

Spelling:Vocabulary Cartoons, SAT Word Power: Learn Hundreds of SAT Words Fast with Easy Memory Techniques completed

Math: Aleks, Geometry Second semester change to Life of Fred

Science: Exploring Creation With Chemistry, by Apologia

Spanish: to come Going with French

Music: Bass, theory and Band

Computer Science: lots of online stuff

Physical Education: skiing

1st Grade Curriculum, Emma

Geography: A mix of Illuminations Geography and A Childs Geography: Explore His Earth, a postcard swap!

Bible: Keepers at Home: A Handbook for Young Ladies

English: First Language Lessons For The Well-Trained Mind, Level 1, (grammar worbook)

All About Spelling, Level 1 and All About Reading, All About Spelling

Math: Math U See, Alpha, Life of Fred, apples & butterflies, also doing Math Mammoth 1A and 1B

Science: Real Science-4-Kids Chemistry Pre-Level I Student Text

Latin: Song School Latin Bundle–Student, Teacher’s Edition and Latin Monkey Match completed

Art: Artistic Pursuits will pick up again next year

Physical Education:  soccer
