So far, April has been a whirlwind of…Spring Breaking and  Easter Celebrating! Sports Starting Up. Spring Cleaning. Getting review products that make me totally change my household…(going organic is on the menu)

I am sitting here watching as my mountains turn green almost overnight. This is my first Spring here in the Blueridge Mountains….and …WOW! I am in a tank top,  sunburned (whoops) wishing I was one of those people who actually can function on lack of sleep–because there are soooo many good things to do!

Well, today I am taking a deep breath and getting some planning and reviewing done…but missing family–thanks, Mom & Dad for a fun Easter!

I have several reviews and giveaways to do…a ballerina birthday coming up…

What good things do y’all have on your agenda?

Aloha! It’s Friday–go ahead, relax:) I’m needing it before we head into the holidays!

Aloha Friday was started by Kailani over at An Island Life blog. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. If you want to play, simply answer the question below & go over to An IslandLife here!

In the season for visiting, here is my question:

When you travel to someone else’s home, what one thing would REALLY make you comfortable?

Like: do you need a spotless bathroom, or piles of towels or food/tv in your room? I can think of someone I know whose bathroom is just dirty. Makes me so uncomfortable! (he wouldn’t be reading my blog, I hope–my bachelor brother!)

Yesterday, I sat down and relaxed and read my October issue of Health Magazine. I started pulling out the pages that seemed to have great ideas of things to do to be healthier, skinnier and more beautiful. When I was done, I realized I should’ve left the pages in, because I had about 20 pages ripped out! On some, I may just be a victim of advertising…but a few sounded like they should work:)

Anyway, it did have some good ideas…if I can get a few implemented, we’ll probably be better off. One little snack that I liked the sound of was taking slices of banana, rolling them in dark chocolate and coconut and freezing them for a sweet snack later.

So…my question: Have you made any life changes this Fall to be more healthy?

My question: What is your favorite Fall tradition? Seems like the main thing we do year after year is going to the Apple Orchard. You?

PS: Today, I’d like to do a giveaway of the Book, Fearless, by Max Lucado. I reviewed it here. Hardcopy. I really liked it. So, leave your comment if you want in:) I will close giveaway and choose a random winner Saturday @ 5 p.m. (Now closed)  Have a good weekend!

For my question, EVER HAD A DAY, WEEK, etc like this? I sure have been having this for a month!!

If You Give a Mom a Muffin

If you give a mom a muffin,
She’ll want a cup of coffee to go with it.
So she’ll pour herself some.
The coffee will get spilled by her three year old.
She’ll wipe it up.

Wiping the floor, she will find some dirty socks.
She’ll remember she has to do some laundry.
When she puts the laundry in the washer,
She’ll trip over some snow boots and bump into the freezer.
Bumping into the freezer will remind her she has to plan supper for tonight.

She will get out a pound of hamburger.
She’ll look for her cookbook. (101 Things To Make With a Pound of Hamburger.)
The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail.
She will see the phone bill which is due tomorrow.
She will look for the checkbook.

The checkbook is in her purse that is being dumped out by her two year old.
She’ll smell something funny.
She’ll change the two year old.
While she is changing the two year old the phone will ring. (Of course!)
Her five year old will answer it and hang up.

She remembers that she wants to phone a friend to come over for coffee on Friday.
Thinking of coffee will remind her that she was going to have a cup.
She will pour herself some.
And chances are,
If she has a cup of coffee,
Her kids will have eaten the muffin that went with it.

Thanks to MY MOM, who sent me this!

My college son is planning a trip to Europe…if you have been, what is the one place you think is the best to visit? If you have never been to Europe (like me) tell me somewhere you remember as wonderful!

Have an Aloha Weekend, everyone:)
